Q:What experience from other jobs or projects that will be an asset in this work?

As a high school teacher for many years, I am very comfortable speaking in front of an audience. This is such a special day for each couple, and I want their wedding day to go as smoothly as possible. Being detailed oriented and organized helps me remember that the little things are the big things. As an ordained minister, making sure that each couple feels comfortable, confident, and embraced on their wedding day is my main goal.

Q: What strengths and skills do you bring to this work?

I am personable, friendly, organized, detail oriented, and able to multi-task. I have dealt with rowdy teenagers for years. With a dash of humor, I can handle whatever adventure a wedding day could bring.

Q: What do you enjoy most about this work?

I most enjoy seeing the love between each couple. Connecting with and listening to them, hearing their love story, and learning about what has drawn them together. I appreciate meeting their loved ones on the day of their wedding and seeing the support and celebration for the couple. It is such an important day. Getting to be a part of this memorable occasion, is a gift I do not take for granted.

Q: What characteristics do you see in couples that encourage you?

I am encouraged when I see couples working together. Planning a wedding can feel overwhelming however, watching this unify and strengthen the couple is inspiring!

Q: What personal experiences do you draw on when working with couples?

My personal experience as a teacher, mother, and planning my own wedding gives me a unique ability to relate to my couples. Hearing the couple’s hopes, dreams, and goals, it is my desire to deliver an intimate and authentic wedding. Each couple is so different, and I try to incorporate each couple’s personality and vision into their ceremony.
